WITH Insights Mentor Circle returns in 2026 to support the next generation of women leaders in tourism and hospitality

MEDIA RELEASE

Women in Tourism & Hospitality Western Australia (WITH WA) has announced the return of the WITH Insights Mentor Circle in 2026, continuing its commitment to supporting women with leadership aspirations across Western Australia’s tourism, hospitality and events sectors.

Now entering its fourth year, the six-month mentoring program has become a cornerstone of WITH WA’s professional development offering, providing structured support, connection and guidance for women seeking to progress into leadership roles.

Applications are now open for the 2026 program, which will run from May to October and be delivered through a mix of in-person sessions in Perth and online participation for regional and remote members.

The WITH Insights Mentor Circle pairs emerging female leaders with experienced industry mentors who have held senior leadership roles across hotels, tourism, events, food and beverage, and business management. Through facilitated mentor circle sessions, guest speakers, peer collaboration and networking opportunities, participants build confidence, strengthen leadership capability and expand their professional networks.

The program was developed in response to ongoing feedback from industry, which identified persistent barriers to career progression for women, including limited access to mentorship, leadership visibility and professional support networks. By connecting women with leaders who have navigated similar challenges, the program provides practical tools and real-world insight to support the next step in their careers.

WITH WA Chair Angela Beechey said the Mentor Circle plays a critical role in strengthening leadership pathways within the industry.

“WITH WA recognises the extraordinary talent of women working across tourism and hospitality, but we also acknowledge that many women continue to face barriers when progressing into leadership roles,” Ms Beechey said. “The Insights Mentor Circle is designed to address those challenges by providing mentorship, connection and practical skills development in a supportive, industry-led environment.”

A 2025 program participant said the experience delivered lasting professional benefits.

“I gained practical skills in leadership, communication, and goal-setting, as well as a broader perspective on problem-solving and professional growth. The insights from my mentor helped me approach challenges more strategically and confidently,” she said.

Participants in the program also gain access to exclusive WITH WA networking events, enabling them to connect with peers, industry leaders and potential future employers, while developing a stronger understanding of leadership across the sector.

The 2026 program is proudly supported by Tourism WA, AVPartners and the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre, whose ongoing commitment helps ensure the program remains accessible and impactful. In 2026, WITH WA is also inviting businesses and individuals to support the program by sponsoring a participant, helping to remove financial barriers and expand access for women across the industry.

Applications for the WITH Insights Mentor Circle 2026 are open to financial WITH WA members with a minimum of three years’ industry experience who have demonstrated aspirations to progress into leadership roles.
